We Thank Everyone For Attending The ADAMAS Trunk Show And Making It A Great Success!
We were honored to have in attendance jewelry designerCharles Krypell of New York City. Krypell has been designing and adorning America's women with exquisite jewelry for three decades. On May 4th he adorned several women here in the Mahoning Valley! Accompanying Charles was his charming nephew Brian Krypell. They brought with them their entire line of jewelry spending the day dazzling all. The display cases running the length of the jewelry area were filled with Krypell's gorgeous works of art.... sparkling "sculptures" in a fabulous array of color and shape. One woman was taken by a gorgeous ring- an incredible mount. Once she slipped it on her finger the decision was made becoming the newest addition to her heirloom collection of jewels. A couple together selected a group of pieces- Charles himself sized the ring while they waited. The husband mused it was a combination anniversary, birthday, Christmas, and Mother's Day gift rolled into one. Luckily, he added, this was not next year when they celebrate their 60th anniversary!
Adamas was filled with an air of excitement. The excitement was not just limited to the jewelry area, it spilled into the gift area as well. Two featured glass designers were represented.
The representative of Laurel Wilder, Roger Bailey, spent the day with us sharing the process of these beautiful reverse handpainted glass plates and trays- earthy images, rich colors with gold leaf were selected by many for Mother's Day gift giving. One happy woman selected a plate with a dragonfly. She mused she was treating herself - we should all take a lesson from her! Roger brought with him some new pieces of Wilder which may be seen through the end of May.
The attention shifts to our second glass designer Peggy Karr. Equally amazing in technique, the colors are bold, the images are diverse. Jacque Dorazio represented Peggy Karr for the day. The entire line was a popular choice for the coming Mother's Day gift giving. While the majority of customers have been Karr collectors, none knew the process of these fused glass works. Jacque explained and showed a pictorial sequence of the process leaving them surprised with this timely artform.
