Peggy Karr~ fused glass ... Located in New Jersey, this process of applying a design to glass is a tedious procedure with beautiful results. Peggy Karr began her quest for this beautiful art glass form while in college. Her first fused glass plate featured a cow with a checker board pattern. The process today involves a team of American artisans and glass cutters. Each piece is handmade from cutting each piece of glass to applying the design. The design is filled in by hand using sifters filled with colored, ground glass. The works are then fired in large kilns and removed. Each piece is hand inspected for any flaws in the glass- if so it is removed. Each piece has the signature initials "PKG" along with the manufactured year.
Peggy Karr fused glass pieces are available in various shapes and sizes, bowls, plates, platters, coasters, suncatchers, ornaments~ Karr's glass works are much too pretty to be stowed away- Display them with the optional stands and wall brackets all around the house...Pair pieces and place on a tiered rack or select a single rack for a great display or serving piece.
