Laurel Wilder . . . Art Glass . . . With A Unique Spirit
This broad range of art glass works is done in a reverse method. The art is applied to the glass with metal leaf in reverse, a decoupage technique. They are sealed, signed and numbered. The works were first initiated by Laurel and Shelley Wilder. The works capture earthy images- leaves, birds, animals, butterflies and more. Sadly, Laurel passed away in 2003. Shelley continues the work. The pieces are offered in a range of sizes and shapes- round, square, rectangle bowls, plates, and platters. All have a durable finish however, they should not be displayed near extreme heat or direct sunlight. They should not be used in a microwave. Cleaning with a dampened cloth is best with a mild detergent for years of lasting beauty.
